Bains des Pâquis

There’s nothing more relaxing then spending a day by the lake, but with winter on its way, one needs to seek refuge from the cold, my favourite hiding place… Bains des Pâquis.

Not just a great summer destination, Bains des Pâquis is the perfect spot to escape the cold and take in the beautiful surrounds.

Most weekends I pack my bag (the usual sauna requirements, 2 towels, shower things etc.) and head to the lake for a blissful afternoon of sauna/hammam/steam room/a quick dip in the lake followed by a bite to eat and a coffee or freshly squeezed juice from “Buvette des Bains”.

If you are not a fan of the sauna/hammam/steam room/a quick dip in the lake idea, there is a great bar/restaurant at Bains des Pâquis (Buvette des Bains), serving Plat du Jour, yummy breakfast and snacks and of course fondue! There’s nothing better when the winter snow hits then to be deliciously warm eating fondue by the lake.
