Salam be Lafa – La Galette de la Paix
One of the highlights of my weekends is to wander through the food markets in either Carouge or Plain Palais, taking in the delicious smells and fabulous variety of produce (and spending a small fortune on brunch, afternoon tea or some other between meals excuse to eat).
Having learnt the hard way, shopping on an empty stomach can be dangerous, upon arrival I always make a beeline for Salam be Lafa (La Galette de la Paix), what can only be described as the best falafel in Geneva.
Every Saturday and Sunday Ozi and Raya set up their market stall, packed with delicious sauces, relishes and hand made falafel, making delicious galettes for the many market attendees (should you be stuck with choice my personal favourite is falafel with caviar d’aubergine, tomato relish, taboulé and houmous).
Quickly becoming my weekend ritual, it is with true excitement I share this market stall with you. So next time you are in Carouge on Saturday or Plain Palais on a Sunday please head to Salam be Lafa (La Galette de la Paix) for the best falafel in town!
